Would it be possible to put a newer suzuki RM125 engine in my 1989 Suzuki RM125?

I have a suzuki RM125 motorcycle and it will end up costing less to just buy a new engine than to fix it but i cant find any 1989 RM125 engine's online (Im guessing because of how old it is) would there be any way i could put like a 2004 RM125 engine into it?

And what makes you think it would cost less to replace the engine rather than rebuilding the one you have? What's the problem with the one you have?
