  Pump up your tires to maximum allowable pressure to lower the rolling resistance. Adjust the throttle cable to ensure you are getting maximum wide-open throttle. Make sure your wheel bearings aren't binding and your brakes aren't dragging. Go on diet and lose some weight, and use the money you save to buy some quality synthetic two-stroke oil --- and it's a helluva lot safer than latching onto the wheelwell of a passing Camaro.
