125cc pit bike. Increase top speed? sprockets?
-
I have a 125CC pit bike with 14 teeth on the front, and 46 teeth on the back. It's top speed is around 40-45 mph. I was wondering if I could change the rear sprocket to some thing lower. The bike is a 125cc roketa pit bike with clutch 4 speed. It's the rds-125x. If I changed it to a 38 or some thing, how much of an increase in top speed would I get? And wheres the best place to buy a sprocket? Thanks.

Answer:
You won't go any faster as the bike simply does not have the power required. If anything, you will probably go slower
