How will motorcycles change 10 years in the future. What big changes will happen?

Most bikes from overseas will look like Tupperware but the Harley will keep it's unchanged beauty...

I think most bikes will at least keep the traditional layout - manual transmission, two wheels, etc. Riders in the US often tend to be pretty conservative when it comes to design preferences, even if there is likely to be some "new wave" type bikes out there. Here are my predictions: 1. I expect carbs and air cooling to disappear from bikes as they have from cars, because of tighter emissions standards. 2. Somebody might try a flex-fuel bike, but I'm not sure it will catch on. 3. Significant growth in scooters, from people looking to use two wheelers as gas saving commuters.

Automatic trannys will be popular. Air cooled motors will be a thing of the past.

If the lawmakers have their way, here are some things that have been proposed: All bikes - Air bags F&R crash bars as part of the frame (even on sportbikes). ABS brakes - that law was defeated by the AMA's government relations department. HP limitation on all bikes sold in America.

Victory has come out with a pretty good look into the future with there 2008 model , I think in the next 10 years we are going to have even more CCs, The changes that come will be for are new generation of riders and what they want / Similar to what you describe

Probably won't exist. As new generation arrives they are beginning to realize that Motorcycles, Skydiving(without a reason), Mount climbing, and many other idiotic things are just that idiotic. Why risk your life?There are thousands of young people fighting over seas to make sure peace reigns, why would someone risk their life on a motorcycle, skydiving, mount climbing but won't risk their life to defend their country?

I think they will fly like in "back to the future"

well cars have had 4 whell since being created so is more a fact about perfromance for motocycles safety is becoming a big thing air bags, action sensors and what not..
