What bike should I choose?

Why Did you choose "your" specific bike? What were the "driving forces"?

  • Personally, I chose my bike because it's the top end of honda's line (I'm a dedicated red rider). Ever since i seen the bike back in 2001, I thought it was just gorgeous, and the tech specs were nothing to sneeze at either... And the price, UNBEATABLE... You cannot find another bike as fast, as nimble, as comfortable, as pretty, AND as reliable for anywhere near what I paid for mine... Why did you choose your bike?

  • Answer:

only Vtwin sportsbike Honda made it's sexy, rides smooth, sounds incredible, race proven, won multiple championships on the race track, plus it's a HONDA you can't go wrong with a HONDA...

i chose my bike because i have looked at several bikes and its the one i've wanted for quite a while. i don't care about going super fast, i fear for my safety if i had the ability to. its a beautiful bike, fit and finish like no other. its the last year of the evo motor, which was also the last year of the rigid mount, non counter balanced motor. the newer ones just seem a little too "civilized" for me. it feels like i think a motorcycle should feel when you ride it. its not totally smooth, i feel a lot of wind, etc. and the blacked out motor just looks badass.

searched all over the place, it's the only black harley I could find....lol. Actually, I wanted another big bike to replace a road king that I had. I love the way the FLH's go down the road. IMO, they can't be beat for overall comfort, style and looks.

I have a 1977 BMW air head and I got that because I did not want to ride a harley like everyone else. I have always had "different " bikes. Before that I had a 67 Triumph Bonneville and before that I had a 71 Norton Commando

I wanted the torque of a large V-twin with the classic styling of a classic bike. It's a blend of old school looks and simplicity with new school parts and reliability. I also wanted the satisfaction of saying I built it myself. That way, I'm not just quoting stuff I read in a brochure at the dealership.

The dealer started up my first bike on the shop floor and I bought it right on the spot. That was forty years ago and I still ride the same make and model. There have been other machines (cruisers and sport bikes) during that time and the original bike is long gone only to be replaced with a nicely refurbished copy. I love it for the sound - the ride - and the shear pleasure of just looking at it. It could use better brakes but somehow a disc brake on the front just would not look 'right'. As a plus, no one I've ever met on the road has a similar machine. My bike, like myself, is unique.
