How can I print directly to a thick illustration board?

I want to design a box for my graphic design portfolio to be in, rather than using those stupid books that colleges give you. This way, I can stand out from the crowd. What I've done is designed a box that is just slightly bigger than 8.5x11 so the pieces to my portfolio can go inside. So for the full-scale mock-up I had it printed on regular paper, and used spray adhesive to glue it down, and cut it out and put it all together. The mock-up works, so I'm ready to make a final version. What I don't want to do though, is use the spray adhesive again. The paper that was glued to the illustration board is peeling off-- not exactly professional looking. So, what I'd like to do is find a printer who can print directly onto the board, or perhaps on to a peel-off sticker paper, (which of course won't peel, or it will defeat the purpose...) -- or any other viable solution that might be out there. I've searched online and mostly I've come across confusing answers from online print companies who half the time require at least 100 minimum. Also, I'd prefer to deal directly with the printer in person so I know what I'll be getting. What might be a creative/ innovative solution for this issue?

gooo to kinkos or any places that do printing they can print images on boards give them the image or ask how it will be done and they can do it for u
