Who are some current minimalist artists?

Any (preferable modern day) artists who (paint etc) involve music inspiration within their art?

Right for my A-level art course we have to find out our own artists/do our own artist research of artists who fit in to our work and how it inspired us. (Sorry if people who have taken Art will more likely understand where I'm coming from.) For one of my induction pieces I am planning to do a music speaker amp inside out and have things related with music and lyrics around that piece (without giving too much away ha ha). Is there any artists preferable modern day who involve this sort of idea? Please can you help as I really need this for my A-level art. Thank You in advance.

Cory Arcangel. mostly known for his video art. he did a compilation of youtube bits-'n'-pieces of cats on piano, thus recreating a modern-classic work of music. his piece is Drei Klavierstuecke op. 11
