Name of Company you Work For and Position title. I will not reveal any private info about myself or the company. 1.What is your position within the company and what department do you work for? Graphic Production Artist 2.What are the types of tasks and responsibilities do you do for the company? I create artwork for packaging and get it ready for printing 3.What is challenging about your job? Deadlines 4.How many hours do you typical work in a week? 40+ 5.What is you educational background? 2 year degree in Fine Arts as well as a certification from a technical school in Graphic Design & Animation 6.What skills and education is required for your type of job field. What skills or training do you recommend for a person who is looking for a job in the design field to have? There are so many different jobs you can get in the field of Graphic Design. I recommend learning as much as you can in as many areas as you can (Print, Web, etc.) 7.What is the work environment like? What is the dress code? Who kind of people do you work with? The work environment is laid back and stressful all at once. Casual (jeans and t-shirts). All different kinds of people. 8.What is your average salary within your job? I am not going to say... but average entry level design salary can be anywhere from 20k - 35k depending on the company and location. 9.How difficult was it for you to find a job after completing your training and education? Not very difficult. I got a job within 4 months of graduating. If you have the talent and the drive, it shouldn't take very long. But in this job market, who knows. 10.Do you see the graphic design field becoming a bigger interest in the world? Absolutely. There will always be a need for graphic designers. There are so many different kinds of jobs you can get within the field as well. 11.What do you like the best about your job? I like that I like my job. I get to be creative everyday, so it's not always like work.

Since we are small we wear many hats. Website, print and multimedia design as well as Accounting and project management. 3.What is challenging about your job? What skills or training do you recommend for a person who is looking for a job in the design field to have? Its usually a 4 year college course. You will need to have a good understanding of typography, image manipulation and know such programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator and inDesign 7.What is the work environment like? What is the dress code? Who kind of people do you work with? Work environment varies from corporate setting (cubicles) to really funky art spaces and the dress code usually isn't much more than a nice pear of jeans with a nice shirt. You will also work with all types of people depending on who he client is. 8.What is your average salary within your job? Salaries can range from 25-30k to $60-80k and up depending on the position 9.How difficult was it for you to find a job after completing your training and education? If you have a nice portfolio and are a go getter it shouldn't be that hard. There are tons of opportunities out there 10.Do you see the graphic design field becoming a bigger interest in the world? yes, now with all this new technology out there it opens the doors to alot more opportunities. 11.What do you like the best about your job? Its something I love to do everyday, It doesn't fell like a job. Also, Im always working on something new, meeting new people and constantly learning new technology
