Do I need a website of my advertising portfolio?

• So I graduated college and am looking for an advertising job/creative side. Do I need a website? I realize if I have one I need some good pieces on it in order to get called for an interview. However, if I put my best work up on there then during the interview I'll have nothing new and exciting to show. What do I do? I don't have thousands of great ads to showcase- more like a dozen or so. Can I put one ad of a three part campaign online and then show the rest in person?

  Wouldnt' hurt to put your best stuff up and if they need to see more tell them you don't have any it's all on the site. Due to yiou being out of school i'm sure they understand you don't have a huge portfolio anyway. but yes you can do the 1 ad form 3 part campaign not a bad idea. But what if someone who isn't hiring finds your site and judges you because your work isn't the greatest because you didn't. And they would of hired or went after you because of your work. It is a catch 20 20 there isn't a set rule .. You need to do what your gut is telling you.
