How do I get an image copyrighted?

How/Where can I get this image turned into a poster?

• I want to get a poster for my room of Alex Mahone from Prison Break, but I can't find any being sold anywhere. So I found this HQ (2600x3750) picture and I tried to upload it to Zazzle and order a 20x30 poster print of it and the next day, they cancelled the order saying that the image wasnt appropriate. Im guessing the picture is maybe copyrighted but it has no watermark and I havent seen it on Gettyimages or Wireimage or any site like that. All it is is a promo picture for Prison Break. Could I order it on Cafepress without it being cancelled? Or if that wouldn't work, could Kinkos print it in poster size?

  This is a copyright issue. Even if you go to Staples (or Kinkos, Office Depot, etc), they might not do it for you. They are trained not to, but you may be able to convince them or they may not even care. Chances are CafePress won't print it either. The reason is, no one has any way to know that you aren't going to be selling this, or using it for your own benefit in some way. The show and the characters are covered by copyright, and even the photographer may be covered. Zazzle, CafePress, Staples, and you can all be held liable for copyright violation if you were caught using this image. Those big companies can't afford to take that chance. There's one small catch- if you are a student, you can freely use anything you want for school purposes, because it's considered being used for educational reasons. If you're a student, you might give that angle a try if you get shot down at Staples.
