How do you edit pictures?

How to i edit & design my pictures?

  • well i have a myspace & i see ppl with pictures thet i know they just took in their bedroom but it looks like professional lighting & like a glow or black & white. plus alot of pictures are designed like with peoples name on it or a border. and not the SIMPLE stuff bcuz i know how to do the simple stuff on drpic.com or lunapic.com or paint on my computer. see what i really want is how some of these pictures have a really "pretty" [i geuss thats the word to use] brightened glow type effect on it. uhm, well question is.. i dont wunna buy anything like photoshop. but how can i do a pic like that. does anyone know of a website? :]
