Is it possible to enjoy a work of art without knowing about the elements of art

Sure. Art is made for everyone. However knowing the elements of art will help you when you talk about art. They build up your art vocabulary and can sometimes give you clues as to how to view the piece. It's like watching football for fun. Then learning about rules and plays and going back to watch football. You may get a better understanding and appreciation for it.

Yep. I enjoy food and I can't cook for s**t. The only difference maybe is why you enjoy it. Just because one person enjoys something because of it's juxtaposition of Cubism with elements of formal French Realism while balancing space and continuity..........and another person thinks it's pretty......doesn't mean that one is rightfully enjoying it more than the other.

of course. I thought Michealangelos Pieta was pretty when I first saw it, but after I took an art class I still think its pretty I can just tell u some cool things that make it cool and why and how it was made that way.
