What is the name of this painting/photo or Who is the Artist?

Do you know the name of this artist?

  • When I went to Falmouth art galley, I remember loving this artist, who I now want to study for GCSE Artist Study coursework project. However, I cannot remember the artists name to search them further. The artist pictures: - Used papermache. - One was of Darwin's face, one was of a pigeon and a fishman - Used bits of coloured paper and paint to decorate them - Had one flat side, so they could be framed and hung up on walls If you know the artist please anwser, or if you know of a simular artist. =) Cazzie x

Cazzie, Was the artwork you liked part of their permanent collection or in a temporary exhibition? Usually temporary shows are in special rooms set aside for visiting/traveling shows. If permanent, try searching on the Gallery's website to start. They list the artists in their collection and show thumbnails of selected pieces. Seeing the name might spark your memory: http://fag.looksystems.net/Collection/Artists If temporary, 1st look under the "Seasonal Exhibitions" section of the Gallery's website to browse for the artist you liked (you may find others you like in the process!). They have them archived by year. http://www.falmouthartgallery.com/Seasonal%20Exhibitions/previousexhibiti.html. This is one 2009 show that mentions 'Darwin' - check it out: http://www.falmouthartgallery.com/Seasonal%20Exhibitions/Seasonal%202009/species.html Only call the museum as a last resort. They're usually under staffed and over worked... Ask for help from the Educ. Dept. if you do end up calling. Good luck!

if it's a lesser known, or relatively unknown artist, i don't think you're going to get very far on here. i suggest phoning up the gallery, telling them which exhibition you saw, and then describe the works. they will probably be able to tell you who it was, if they look up the exhibition catalogue.

Why not contact the Gallery and ask? I bet they'd be delighted to hear of your interest. There's an edress and phone no. on their website:

Why don't you phone the Falmouth gallery, describe the works, and say when you were there, and ask them which artist do they think it was?
