What to put in portfolio--work that represents me or work that employers need to see?
-
I have work that I love and it speaks volumes to me but I also have work that specifically shows skill, technique and a degree of difficultly--which I could take or leave. That latter is not what excites me, I love what love. So do I put what I love or what is expected in my portfolio?

Answer:
If you're going to an interview, create a portfolio of work that you think the company might like the most. Like, if they're hiring you to make logos, at the interview bring your portfolio with logo designs you've done. Something that relates to the job you're trying to get. And maybe at the back of the portfolio have some of your favorites. I hope that made sense. :)
