How good is DuPont automotive spray paint?

Whats the difference between a regular spray paint and spray paint used for graffiti?

• i just got some regular spray paint cans from walmart. I bought 2 wood boards to mess around with and tried the spray paint out but it kept dripping and drooling down. i'm not sure if i want to get spray paint specifically made for graffiti yet because it might have the same problems, can anyone help??

  The problem with Walmart paint such as Rustoleum and Krylon is that the stock cap that it comes with sprays the paint horribly. You need to pick-up a graffiti tip called a 'NY Thin' and replace it with the caps it came with. Rustoleum is thick and high pressure aerosol; It makes the paint come out quickly. I don't recommend buying it for painting art. Krylon is thin and watery and not worth your time and money. You should get Painter's Touch, but make sure it doesn't say comfort-tip on the can otherwise you can't switch the tip. You should learn with Wall-Mart paint before moving up to the graffiti brands like Montana or Beltons. You'd paint much better since you'd know how to control the dripping. Montana or Beltons are great since they're lower pressured and easy to control, but I truly suggest that you start from square one. Then you'll be able to paint immaculately no matter what brand it is.
