What are the best Art Schools in the WORLD?

  • I love drawing, it is my passion. I am good, I know that. I have been offered scholarships for universities all over North America. People have offered to buy my art work, however at this point I am not selling. I have won several awards in art shows. Now, I am wondering a very big question. What is the best art school in the world? Or, what are the best art schools in the world? I don't want to just stay in North America. I actually have a passion to go the Europe area to study art. Anyways, thank you. Oh, and to mention what art I do! What I like most being #1: 1. Drawing/Sketching 2. Graphic Design 3. Sculpturing 4. Photography 5.Painting 6. Visual Design

The Art Institutes are excellent for Graphic Design. I'm currently in the Graphic Design and Foundation for Design Program. The instructors are usually people who have worked in the industry for years, and many are still working in the industry. Though I wouldn't suggest it for fine art, it is a more technical, applied arts course. I've heard people say that Emily Carr In Vancouver,BC is good for fine arts, though I've never taken anything there so I can't speak from experience.

Chicago Institute of Art and Design (which houses a school as well as the museum), the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art (in Brittany, France), and the University of East London (UEL) also known as the 'Polytechnic.' The UEL degree in Visual Theories in particular is considered excellent. These are serious programs, not for poseurs, and not just 'schools of the moment.' Good luck. BOKO
