How do you frame collectible movie posters?

  • Hey, I recently got a few original movie posters and really want to frame them nicely in order to preserve and display them. i have gotten a movie poster professionally framed before but i'm not sure whether they did a good job or not. The one i had done a while back has a plexiglass front with an acid free foam core in the back; it also has spacers;however, i've seen,on google, that many framed movie posters have a space between it and the actual frame but mine is touching the frame. So, to sum it up... Whats the best way to preserve and display a movie poster and is my previously framed movie poster done right? Thanks

    If Your frame is wood, it has to be at least 1.5" away from it. So, one must use a matt and that way the glass or plastic will be away.
