What is a good name of an interior design magazine?

Is my magazine design good? ?

  • I get to design the cover and layout for my school's student magazine (It's called ProVision magazine) - and I was wondering if it's good so far? http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj27/hellacooltasha/Picture3.png I changed the name of my school obv. and the background image is just a placeholder - but in your honest opinion what would to add or take away from this? Are there any suggestions you have? My school colors are dark blue and gold, so is there any way I could incorporate gold into the cover without making it look tacky? Any feedback or suggestions would be great, I'm not finished at this point but need to know what to do next!

    the place where your definition is is tooooooo stark. it detracts from the rest of the image. Perhaps get rid of that block of color, or make it more transparent, you need a focal point for the page. Look at a pro mag and see how the designer drags your eye around the cover..

hello :) overall you have a nice magazine but the only thing i would change is the grey bar its covering your nice image of the beach i would make it thinner and the text smaller as well :) i hope this helps :)

Tasha, It's beautiful. I would recommend moving the logo/lettering down and to the left just a little. That will eliminate the feeling that it is two separate photos with no relationship to each other. Once the two halves of the magazine are made to communicate with each other I'd say you are done. Good job.
