Do you have any graffiti art ideas?

Graffiti ideas, for art homework?

  • I'm doing an art project, basically about street life, skateboarding etc. I need an idea for my own kind of graffiti, don't really want to just do a tag though, it's kind of boring would love to do something that gives a message kind of like these; http://i30.tinypic.com/mcgfa1.gif http://i29.tinypic.com/312jqdc.gif http://i29.tinypic.com/2re1w6t.gif maybe something to do with a photo like this; http://i25.tinypic.com/25utz78.gif but i dont know yet any quotes or something i could use with this? also, all ideas for kind of images on my graffiti welcome i plan to do more than one thanks :)

    if i were you i would do something related to a cause that means alot to me like animal cruelty or gang violence just whichever hits closes to home and means the most :)

Find a picture you like then put it through the Be Funky Cartoonizer (Google it). This will give you a graffitti style picture to work with in a few colours. This would be great for both freehand and stencil work for the novice graffer. Its not great advice i know but its the best i can do lol. P.S are those Banksy's works of the girl on the swing? [EDIT] Ah Arofish the official banksy rip off! Banksy did the original going into warzones and stenciling freedom art about 2 years before Arofish did it. He has a site @ http://www.banksy.co.uk but its got a bit crap now as hes gone pretty commercial! Just google image him and you should get some good art! It's the other way round, you'll find. This is pretty well known, among those who know their subject. Which obviously doesn't include you.

two books Graffiti World and Graffiti Women Look em up on Amazon they are an excellent overall perspective of all types of graffiti you should find more on that topic there also
