Why do you enjoy art?

Out of curiosity--what do you enjoy about art?

  • I'm curious to know how others view art. I wish for three questions to be answered: 1. What do you enjoy about art? 2. Why do you take part in the artistic things you do? 3. When did you realize art was a hobby/a part of life/nescesary?

  • Answer:

    1. I'm good at it. I have always been good at it, particulary illustrations. I most enjoy doing cartoons and fantasy illustrations. 2. Because I get PAID to do what I like to do. I get paid BECAUSE I am good at it and it's great to get recognition for doing it. 3. It may be that, inside, I always knew that my life's work would have something to do with art. From elementary school days, through high school classes and years in college and university, I have spend many years perfecting my craft, by learning and practicing those elements of art that I had less experience with. (I resisted the move to digital art a LOT longer than I should have) Over the years, I have had LOTS of jobs that were NOT art related, even some that I really enjoyed, but even through those years, I STILL worked freelance assignments whenever and wherever I could find them. To this day (I am 60 years old) I am STILL learning new things and plan to try my hand at a LOT more forms of my craft. (I plan on making some pinatas with my granddaughters this summer) And I am RElearning my old chops in photograpy. You know how I'd LIKE to die? Sitting in front of a canvas, a charcoal stick in my hand, with a beautiful female model posing on a stool.

1) I love art. Something about it, just as almost everything is art. If you can believe it. The creative quality is just wonderful. 2) Because I can express myself without feeling like its not good enough. 3)When I was in day care when I was little, we would do fun crafts and I guess that's what triggered it. 1.I find art relaxing and a way to release my creativity. It's something I think I'm moderately good at so I like to take pride in my art. 2.Usually I draw if I'm bored or in a creative mood. 3.I've always loved to draw so it's something I've always done.
