Homemade henna? Without using the special powder?

You can find henna powder in cultural stores, but you have to make sure you are buying 100% natural henna powder. You can use household items to mix with the henna powder, such as lemon juice and sugar. However, there aren't any household items that can safely stain your skin like henna; such chemicals can enter your bloodstream and cause health problems. Please also be aware that henna is naturally and only a brown. Any henna labelled as "colored" or "black" have been chemically altered and may have harmful chemicals such as p-phenylenediamine or PPD.
