How to make a cartoon wall hanging?

• hey guys :) Okay, so in school , we have to make a wall-hanging, a cartoon wall hanging actually to be more precise. We've already painted our sheets(I don't know the proper name to describe them) and now we've got to stitch in our cartoon character. My sheet is yellow and the character I'm making is Minnie Mouse My question how exactly do I stich the mouse into the sheet...? I hope that makes sense!!!   i think you should use the tracing paper to trace a picture of your cartoon, then my best guess would be to stitch peices of felt to your sheet. i've never done it before so i dont really know but that would be my best guess..
