Of course, an education degree is meant for people who want to be educators. But, there is always another road! Art Ed people can manage Art Museums, sell antiques at high-end art galleries, work at most any type of establishment that sells art-type things, and you could be a working artist. Many artists and musicians choose to diversify rather than concentrate on one thing. You could perhaps teach part-time and spend more time on creating and selling your art. There is also diversity within art; for example, if you primarily paint you could take up sculpting or ceramics.

you should look up "occupational outlook handbook" online, or something like that, it gives lots of statistics on jobs and the demand for those jobs and what you need and how well they pay, etc. have you thought about art therapy?
