What can I make for my GCSE textiles project?

What can I make in textiles lessons?

  • Well, basically I'm thirteen and thinking of taking textiles for GCSE. The problem is I don't want to make clothes, because I don't care about them, but I need ideas for what I can make. I've already thought of dog beds for my two dogs, bedspreads, dog toys and bags, but I feel I will need to make something more complicated or something that will take up more time. Do you have any ideas on what I might be able to make?

  • Answer:

hey there, I do textile GCSE, and we usually get a specification, and we have to relate to that a bedspread is a good idea, as long you put lot of techniques on, the more technique you have the higher your grade will be, and make sure you do the paper work to a high standard, do you get a high grade, and don't take up something that is too complicated, make something simple but add lots of techniques, and while your adding stuff to it, it will take up the time that yo spare hope this helps :)

Well if your a girl, I think you should make a handbag like you said but make it more complicated or maybe um a teddy bear because I think that will be hard to do? Hope it helped!:)

Well it seems you like dogs and have them as pets why don't you go ahead and make custom dog outfits I have seen tv shows where the dogs are dressed up ! Or you could make dog cushions draw sketches of your ideas and build on them and make it into reality !
