How do I cut out an image using Gimp?

How do you transfer one image to another using gimp?

  • im making a twoface image and im trying to put an eyeball from one gimp image to another i tried free select ad feathering but it wouldnt work..am i doing something wrong?

  • Answer:

Make sure you're in the layer that you want to copy. Then, outline what you want to copy to another image using either free select, feathering, whatever. Hit CTRL-C to copy it, then go to your other image, select the layer you want to paste the copied image on, and hit CTRL-V.
