How do I make paper look aged?

  • I want to make paper look as if it were from say the time around the civil war?

    Do you have ? Strong tea or coffee, cold Paper to be aged Cookie sheet Oven You want to print or write anything on your paper BEFORE you age it. Preheat oven to 200°. Place the paper on a cookie sheet (I use an old one) Pour tea/coffee over the paper until the entire sheet is covered, make sure it soaks in on both side. If you want darker spots on the paper, sprinkle instant coffee on the paper and let it sit on the paper. Wipe it off after a few minutes. Rub your finger around the edge of the paper to wear the edges. Place the cookie sheet and paper in the oven for about 6 minutes until dry. Gently loosen the the paper from the cookie sheet with a fork. Be careful, it will be hot! Replacing tea with lemon juice also works :)

Wet Coffee grounds left on different sections of the paper. Same goes with tea bags, lay them on different sections and let them stain the paper. then crumple up the paper and then press it out with your hand.

Take a Half wet towel and rub it lightly on the paper and have the paper to dry a lil so it"ll get all crinkled and you can paint the paper sandy brown and pour some dirt or sand on it to make it look a bit real. If you want, you can add red blotches of blood from a red sharpie or paint.

What I did was pour some coffee over it, and I used the hair dryer to tobspread it around and dry the paper. Another way is putting the paper over fire but not touching it. Maybe you can also wrinkle your paper.

Put some dirt on it. And rub it, then crinkle it all up into a ball. Flatten it back out again, then burn the edges. You can pour lemon juice on it too.

Take a **** on it and wash it off with pee.
