Do you think graffiti is a form of art?

Graffiti: "A drawing or inscription made on a wall or other surface, usually so as to be seen by the public." Personally, I think that there are some fantastic graffiti artists! There are tons of traditional artists that suck. SUCK! I think that when graffiti is used to deface public property its not art, its vandalism, but when it's actually done tastefully, with permission or commissioned, then it's art, sometimes fantastic art!

I think graffiti is. But in my opinion, others view that graffiti is not an art since they're used to things like "tagging." I don't blame them. Graffiti usually has bad rep because of this and that. It can be art, it also can't be art. i think art is the way of expression of oneself. graffiti is a form of expression thus it is art. it may not be widely accepted but it still is art. if all forms of art were accepted we would all be artists.

Yes it is an art. It has a poor name because of some of the exponents of this art are disrespectful of peoples property. Others are respectful and their work is of the highest quality. One mans maid is another mans monster.

Art is basically anything these days. You can scrunch up a piece of paper and call it art. Graffiti is not traditional, but definitely modern art.

Have you ever seen the graffiti artist Banksy's work? I think SOME graffiti can be art. I think this answers the question. I hope you realize that much of it IS art, self expression is very important.
