How to get a career started as a teenaged artist?

I am a student at an art school, and I have some talent as a visual artist. I need advice in setting off my artistic career I need to earn a lot of money for college, and I am not able to get any other job right now. I have heard that you can submit art to card companies who will pay you This sounds like a possibility, but I don't know where I would start. I am also looking for as many opportunities as a can possibly get. What are some other ways I can sell and market my work? I am also an experienced photographer and have some experience in design.. PLEASE HELP! ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME.

being an artist is tough sometimes, but if all your woried about is money, you arent an artist, you're simply someone who can draw. and hey, that isnt always bad. if your as good as you say, perhaps you can make a reputation on deviantart.com and sell prints, or do commissions, or you could have your own website or something, but that costs money. panhandleing is a great way to earn money, my friend, a 45 year old homeless man, makes around 50$ a day. but if you look all clean and rich tdoesnt work too well,,,,, hmm honestly, its usually all about connections, make as many friends as you can, like older, richer friends, who know people who know people who can get you jobs. otherwise, your screwed sweetheart.
