How can I make colored henna tattoo paste?

Are there any alternative ways to make henna paste besides from the henna plant?

  • Are there any other plants or something else you can use to make a paste to make a temporary tattoo and is safe on the skin like henna?

  • Answer:

The only thing I know of is a form of crystallized indigo dye that can be painted on and leaves a blue stain that lasts for a few days. It's very alkaline so should only be used on tougher skin like arms and legs, and may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin. It's a processed form of indigo dye, not a pure plant paste like henna. You can't use pure indigo powder to get the same effect since the dye molecule is too large to pass through skin and bind with it like henna does. There's also paints like Harquus dye that lasts for several days or a week. Usually anything with a resin base can stand a few washings, but they aren't actually staining the skin like henna or crystallized indigo.

i dont think there is an alternative but if you are looking for an idea for a temporary tattoo try drawing something on with gel pens and spray it with something like spray gel or something like that. it will stay of for a couple of days as long as you dont get it wet. its safe on the skin too

im a "little monster"!
