How To Create Your Own Coat Of Arms?

Being Creative with Coat of Arms Project?

I have to create a coat of arms for the Capulet and Montague families (Romeo and Juliet) and I don't want to just draw coats of arms on paper. I want to make it intricate and creative, not just a sketch on a sheet of white paper. Does anyone have creative suggestions for this project? (I do not want to create just a shield either, because I want the animals and details on the side, as well as a line of words [Haven't decided what I'll write yet.] on the bottom. Unless you can think of a way to incorporate these details onto a shield without making it look squished and squeezed, please don't suggest this.)
