How do I find the best price for some antiques I have?

I have some collectable things & my husband has coins...should we just load up the car & head for the antique mart. Actually, we have a place near by that is filled with antiques but the owners aren't there to buy & I could get their cards. They have one person running their stands who will ring up your purchase...I just want to know the best way to do this & with gas prices I don't want to run all over the place for no reason. Anyone have any tips on how to get the best price for the stuff I have?

yes..head for the antique market :) if it would be anyway not suitable to have your own sale or unless some antique lover acquaintance is ready to buy directly from u talk to a few no of shopkeepers before deciding what and who is going to be the best price for you. Find out market price for similar articles.Give discounts if you want to have your own sale or just sell directly to a consumer so as to attract the buyer/ buyers
