Are there any replicas of the titanic anywhere?

Where can I find info & pics on human replicas? (e.g. models of famous people)?

  • I've seen many times on the news (on TV) museums and stuff having displayed realistic life-sized replicas of famous people (usually deceased), such as JFK, Marlyn Monroe etc. The models are most likely made by plastic surgeons (or private organizations) and they are probably made from some kind of plastic or rubber. Anyway, I'm basically interested in finding some photos of these replicas and maybe even some information. Unfortunately I can't find anything on google. Perhaps I'm not typing in the correct keyword? What do you call such replicas? Does anyone know anything about this and where I can find more info? Thanks.

  • Answer:

search for Madame Tussauds e.g. http://www.madametussauds.com/London/About/BehindTheScenes/Default.aspx explains about the modeling. No plastic surgeons involved. That's for live people.
