How do you make paper mache?

How do i make paper Mache munch stronger on a paper wand that i am making?

• dear yahoo answers people hear is my problem i have a paper mache wand that i am making but the rod that is canted to the top part so were they canted to is flimsy and it has a star in the middle so how do i reinforce it to make it stronger and is there a way to make paper mache harder and stronger?i need your help i need this as soon as possible.

  From my experience, paper mache is never very strong. You can try adding more layers to it, but beyond that youd have to get into more serious types of plastic for strengthening. The coating your putting on the peice will only be as hard as the original material, and whether your using flour or glue, neither of those is very strong in the first place.
