  • Answer:

so you make your solid sculpture with your clay or whatever material. -cutting You take a wire or any strong piece of thread and use it to cut where the back and the flower/cabbage thing meet. take a loop tool or a spoon and hollow out the both pieces of the sculpture. -repairing where the thread cut./ both pieces meet make few scores (bunch of little scratches like X#X#X#X ) add some slip to both ends and stick them back together. then from the outside where the cut was made make some more scoring but deeper then add more slip(muddy/puddy clay) tips. -try to make the walls of the sculpture be even as possible (thickness wise) so it will dry evenly and not crack do to uneven shrinkage -careful not to press to hard when putting the two pieces back together. -you can smooth and refine any rough edges when the sculpture is leather hard.using sand paper or a sanding sponge. good luck.
