How to make hair out of clay?

What happens if you don't bake clay that's suppose to be baked?

  • You see.. I'm doing this project and I am using a clay to put on top of the barbie doll's face to make it a guy. (The barbie doll was 99cents and I'm not willing to buy a guy doll for 5$ or so) Anyways, I was wondering what will happen to the clay if you don't bake it when it's suppose to be baked because I only have that kind of clay and have no time to get clay that you don't have to be baked. I tried asking all my friends but they don't have any clay. Also, is you have any suggestions to make a barbie doll into a guy doll please tell me because I'm desperate. The guy is suppose to have long white hair because it's suppose to be Marley from 'A Christmas carol' by Charles Dickens.. Thanks!!(:

  • Answer:

When clay is left in the heat, it hardens, but if you don't bake it, it will take a lot longer to harden...So if you are in a time crunch, I would suggest that you bake it!

Well, as long as you keep it on a shelf when you are not using it, it might dry, aaand so it is vital for you not to squish it...

Ohitika-Wen

You can use white glue (like Elmer's) and tissue paper, squish it until it becomes like clay, or use it to build up in layers. Use some pillow stuffing for the hair and glue it on at the same time.

Opalita

It might just melt
