Is there any way to make ordinary brown clay a ceramic piece?

  I am not sure what you mean by ordinary brown clay. High fire clay is converted in to bisque ware by the initial firing in a kiln. It goes further conversion when you apply glaze and do a high firing. If you are talking about oil based clay or plasticine for ordinary brown clay. The best way to convert your sculpture into something that will withstand heat is to do mold making and cast your pieces into another material.
