  look up bread dough clay, under crafts. you can also find this in a children's book of crafts at library. it is just flour, salt, water, and can be painted after baking, using cheap tempura, or small bottles of inexpensive craft acrylics. . you can also find a recipe for paper clay using old newspapers or stuff from the shredder. same goes for paints.
