Contemporary Art: Sculpture?
-
I'm out of the loop: I've been studying art for the past 3 years pretty heavily, but I'd really like to learn about current trends in art. I'm mostly interested in sculpture and installation works. Particularly: assemblage, recycled, altered objects (like books) I also really like collections of objects presented in interesting ways. so please, if you have any artists in particular that would be great, also art blogs, museums, art galleries, openings etc. anything would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
The Tate Modern every time for large art work and installations. Also look up the Victoria & Albert Museum's recent 'book' exhibition. It was something else! The breadth of ideas on the word 'book' and the imagination of contemporary artists such as Damien Hirst, took my breath away.
