His picture is in the book, “Finding Frida Kahlo." The book tells the history of ownership of a Kahlo collection, given by the dying artist to sculptor Abraham Jimenez Lopez, a friend of Kahlo in 1954. The collection, presumably owned by Kahlo, was then sold by Lopez to attorney Manuel Marcue in 1979. The Mexican government trust controls the copyright to Kahlo’s work and filed a criminal complaint against Noyola. The trust is also investigating legal recourse in the United States to halt sale of the books.
