How to make homemade modeling clay?

I want to make homemade modeling clay?

• and put it around a compact mirror that I have. Would it be safe to put the mirror in the oven so it can harden inside he clay? Also would it be safe to use it on something that was already made out of clay and bake it? Also any other tips would e greatly appreciated =)

So you may want to test before you use them for the real object. As far as the question about using it on something made of clay, it depends on the type of clay and whether it can be baked. If the clay you want to surround is an oil based clay like plasticine, then no, you don't want to bake that. If it is a ceramic clay that has already been fired in a kiln, then yes, it is fine to be baked in an oven again at low temperatures, but you may have the cracking issue. I would suggest that this project is more suited for polymer clay. There are many colors available and polymer is often used to cover glass items.
