  Polymer clay can be purchased from an arts supplies store or a crafts supplies store. Michaels is where I get mine. They are having a sale on polymer clay this week, at least in this area. Because they all bake at different times and temperatures, it's best to choose one brand and stick with it -- or find a couple of different brands that have the same baking instructions. You'll find the instructions written really small on the packaging.
