How do I start a fashion portfolio for college?

What kind of photos should i have in my portfolio for college?

• i want to go to an art college and im going to be a senior soon this fall and i really need to get going on putting together my portfolio for college i really want to get in fashion photography but im really not sure as too what my portfolio should look like? because i have many pictures that are really strong that are like more random picture but if i want to do fashion photography shouldnt i have like fashion pictures ? instead of random pictures or should i include both? i heard it was not good to put alot of random pictures into a portfolio and all your pictures should somehow relate?? please help! if yu have gone through submiting a photo portfolio and etc thank you!

  Where are you looking at going to school that requires a portfolio submission? Most photography programs don't require a portfolio unless you are getting into something that is very selective/exclusive. If it is a school that requires a portfolio for some reason try connecting with other students past or present and find out what they are looking for in that portfolio. Try googling directly that school and application portfolio requirements
