How do pixels convert to dpi?

DPI to Pixels Per Inches in Photoshop.?

  • Okay I been looking this up and EVERYONE is giving extremely perplexing answers that isn't helping anyone. I don't care if the two terms are interchangeable or if they are technically different. I need to do something at 150 dpi; on Photoshop and every explanation the resolution is displayed as pixels per inches. I wanna know if changing the Pixels Per Inches to 150 would lead to 150 DPI. Again, I don't care about the terms and I don't need a long technical explanation about them I just want to know how to set the work to 150 DPI and if changing the Pixels Per Inches to 150 would be okay, simple as that. If not, please give simple instructions. Your simplified answer is much appreciated by me and perhaps others as well. THANK YOU!

  • Answer:

Yes, set the pixels per inch (ppi) to 150 and you will be okay. Like everyone else you can forget that technically ppi and dpi are not interchangeable.
