How to remove lens off a camera?

How do I remove a dark spot from the lens of my camera?

  • I already cleaned the outside of the lens but it is still there. It appears when the aperture is set to 8 or above. Please Help!

  • Answer:

Did you try cleaning it when it's on that aperture? Maybe it's dust, or a crumb or something, get a duster and use that. If that still doesn't work, maybe try taking it to where you bought it from and if you have a warranty ask for a replacement or if they could fix it.

Can you actually see the "dark spot"? And oddly it may help if we knew the make and model of the camera. There's an issue with Sony SLT's that under certain conditions you can get an odd type of inverse flare off the semi-transparent mirror.

Probably a dust speck or some dirt in there. Take it to a store and ask them to clean it, that's what i do since i'm such a butterfinger that i would manage to damage something while cleaning it. It's not too expensive and they use the right stuff to clean it with so it's worth the money imo

That is a dust speck on your camera's sensor. It's pretty obvious if you know a little bit about a DSLR actually works.
