Make a website - you can show case your work and millions of people can see it. Plus when someone googles your name your site will show up and it will lead to better jobs and events.

design a website... www.winklet.com has some great templates that are a snap to use! got to a local restaurant or hotel and ask them if you can showcase your work with prices attached as to decorate their office space for free. thus giving you free advertising at the same time! also depending on what type of photography you are doing advertising methods differ... maybe go around town and find businesses that compliment your work i.e. if you are a baby photographer got to children's boutique and drop some biz cards off! also you could offer to take pics of babies in her outfits for her advertising purposes as well as yours! hope this helps..

Find a local frame shop and cut a deal. Ask if you can figure out a way to have them use your photography to enhance the frames they're trying to sell. Or find people you know who own businesses and "donate" some really great photos (matted and framed properly) for them to hang in their stores/offices. Make sure part of the matting is a buisness card with your contact info on it.
