  • Answer:

Look up Medium format cameras. Such as Hasselblad, Phase one etc. Then look at the top of the range Dslrs from Canon and Nikon. They range from about 3k to 40k

Why do you want to know? Just because you have the same camera doesn't mean you can get the same quality of images. I use a Pentax 625D or a Nikon D3s. Just for fun I once submitted an image taken on a Panasonic G1 and it was accepted. Any camera is just an image recording device in the same way that a piano is a sound generator, you wouldn't think of saying I own a Steinway piano therefore I'm a concert pianist, why would you say I own a Nikon D3s therefore I am a Pro photographer? Both remarks are equally inane. Everything that really matters happens external to the camera, the lighting (probably the single most important thing), the kind of lighting it's angle to the subject and the subjects angle to the camera, fill in light, hair or rim lights, a background light and the balance between them, the background itself, the composition, the moment etc. etc. it's a long list. All the camera does is record it, a high end camera records with a higher fidelity and it will add less to the image, noise, artefact's etc., but get everything in front of the lens right and even a point and shoot will record a better than decent even saleable image. Just buying a Hasselblad H4D will NOT make you a fashion photographer, nor will having a nice Nikon D3X with 24-70 mm f/2.8 either. You need to have almost all the same skills to shoot any subject. The two additional skills you will need are 1) an expert eye when it comes to lighting a scene and 2) the ability to direct a model

Ones that cost $2000+...not including lenses. That's the starting base of professional grade DSLRs

These photographers are massively experienced meaning that with the right equipment could probably pull these shots off with any camera... Moral of the story: Its the camera its the photography... The more you use cameras the better you become... Start off small trust its the best way to go!
