Is there any way to repair a water damaged phone?

How do you repair photographs that have been damaged by water and are sticking together?

  • My mother has about 5 to 6 packets of photographs that have been water damaged and they are sticking together. Is there any way to repair them?

  • Answer:

I know this sounds odd but try submerging them in water. When they were developed the last step was to wash them in water ( of course this is assuming that these aren't digital pictures or Polaroids ). The water should loosen the images from each other. I have also read that freezing works but I haven't tried that method.

Other answers

As the previous answerer said as long as they are real photos on photographic paper they should be fine placed in water. For best results may I suggest distilled water at room temperature. Soak the prints for at least a half-hour. They should loosen and separate by themselves. If they don't keep them in the water another half-hour. Keep doing so until they loosen and come apart. Don't try to peel them off. You'll only destroy the pictures. If they are Polaroids, or some other medium, they are already ruined and not viewable. So, to my way of thinking, you don't have anything to loose by trying them in a water bath too.
