What camera does iJustine film with?

Do you think the film inside my camera is ruined?

  • I'm too used to digital cameras so it's no surprise that I'm confused by a simple film camera. I haven't used one in years. My new film camera requires me to insert the film and wind it myself manually, and then after I take an exposure I have to wind a bit until it stops again. First of all, I made a mistake when putting the film in the camera and I ripped a bit of those little holes on the sides of the film. I assumed that it would work if I just made my way past it and it seems ok now; I'm able to take an exposure then wind it again until it stops, then take another exposure. But I was careless and I think I spun too roughly at one point and I'm afraid I caused it to rip again? Do you think I should deem this a failure or can it still be developed in the lab, or finish the film and see how it goes? If it is already damaged, how can I remove the film safely without damaging the camera? If it helps, it's a Diana Mini camera.

There's a video on how to use it here: http://microsites.lomography.com/dianamini/howto Shows how to load, take a photo and rewind the film.
