How to get back pictures from my xd card?

• Okay so the story is I went to disneyland and took alot of pictures that were all on a 1gb olymbus xd memory card. once we got home my girlfriend had the card in her purse so she could go get them printed out at walmart. the card fell out of her purse and we found it later in the drive way. took it staight to walmart and tried to view the pics. it wouldnt read the card. I went home and tried to view them on my computer but when i put the card into the computer it doesnt do anything at all, when i put it in the slot on the printer it says card error. I dont care about the card at all but I would really really like to get the photos so if anyone has any idea how i might be able to get them back it would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks alot also it isnt the computer because my other xd card is working fine with it but with the one even if i go to the drive it says to insert a card thanks again

  There are no known recovery techniques available when the card cannot communicate with the computer. While the card might look undamaged, there may well be internal damage. Before you give up, make sure that there is no moisture in the card. You can use a hairdryer, but if you can, put it in an oven set at 40-50 deg C (100-120 deg F) for 30 mins or so, let it cool down and then try it again.
