How do you edit pictures?

How does she edit her pictures to make them clear and bright?

I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. Does anyone know what I can do to edit my pictures to make them clear and bright like that?

    Both of those images were taken with window light (you can see the reflection of the window in the glasses), have a nice sharp focus, and were properly exposed. That makes them clear and bright. In the first image, the vibrancy has been increased. (Making the colors more "colorful.") A number of programs can increase vibrancy, but some of them will increase vibrancy without affecting skin tones, like Adobe Lightroom. (When you increase the colors, it can make the skin look too orange otherwise.) Besides the vibrancy, I don't think these pictures have been enhanced much.

Both of those can be done in camera with the correct lighting and focus.

Looks like she has just taken them with a nice slr. Also her room has good lighting. Lighting and focus are the key, not much you can do to add detail to a photo if its not there when you click the button. But play round with your brightness and contrast but as I said she looks to just have a nice slr or digital slr camera, probably the latter. Good luck

Mess around with the contrast, and perhaps the saturation. Experiment a little, but I think if you increase both the contrast and saturation, you should see similar results. Make sure to keep the focus sharp!

Edit the picture on gimp which u can download or photoshop, and simply change the conrast, if you fiddle around with the settings you can get great images.

This was not done in any editing program- proper use of lighting and proper exposure. A whole lot easier than messing around with manipulating the image!

adobe photoshop album starter edition 3.2 does an awesome job! but in my opinion, she is doing nothing to those pics.
